As we informed you a few days ago, it seems that there is already a pre-agreement for the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Industry, Services and Metal Installations Sector of Madrid 2024-2026.
According to the signatory organizations (UGT and CCOO), the wage increase agreed for 2024 and 2025, would be 3%, with a wage revision up to a maximum of 4%, according to the CPI of each of those years. And an increase of 2% for 2026, with a salary revision up to the actual CPI of that year.
From STC we continue to point out that the final result of these increases at Ericsson translates into a miserable real increase in our salaries, which does not even reach a 1% increase, since as far as we know, the signatory unions have not managed to eliminate the Compensation and Absorption clause, which it is up to each company to decide whether to apply it or not.
At Ericsson, they have so far absorbed 75% of the salary increase that applies to the greater of our collective bargaining agreement salary, except for a small part that is not allowed by the agreement (ex-category and ex-seniority).
In other words, this increase does not improve our purchasing power; on the contrary, it makes us more vulnerable to the growing inflation that we have been suffering for some years.
As on previous occasions, we have attached a calculator so that you can do your own calculations and see for yourselves how much the increase in the collective agreement really is in relation to the absorption that the company has applied.
We understand that once the agreement is signed, the company will proceed to regularise the payroll retroactively from 01/01/204, in any case we will keep you informed.
From STC we take this opportunity to reiterate to the company not to apply the absorption of the wage increase of the collective agreement, and we reaffirm the importance of having our own company agreement that reflects the reality of this company.
