- Evitar cualquier salida obligatoria.
We would like to update you on the current status of the workforce reduction plan and the work that has been underway over the past few weeks.
As of today, 90% of the positions affected by the layoffs have been filled through voluntary leaves. We believe this figure is highly significant and reflects both the pressure STC has exerted from the outset with our slogan “Voluntary leaves, just like in France” at assemblies and rallies, and the willingness of the organizations and managers to find alternatives that minimize the impact of the process.
From the start, at STC we have approached this process by prioritizing negotiated solutions, dialogue, and advocating for alternatives that would minimize the impact as much as possible. We are convinced that this has been key to reaching the point where we are today.
This is the way forward. Workforce renewal must be carried out in a mutually agreed manner.
In addition, we continue to explore options for job rotation and reassignment, with the goal of achieving 100% voluntary participation. This remains our top priority in this final phase of the process.
We therefore urge the company to:
- Avoid any mandatory layoffs.
- Improve opportunities for training, mobility, and outplacement.
- Ensure the highest possible level of transparency and support for those affected.
Such high levels of voluntary participation have never been achieved in any previous layoff plan. We are in a situation where we have demonstrated that things can be done differentlyand that workforce renewal can be achieved peacefully. We will continue to fight for this.
We are proud to celebrate the voluntary departures of employees, many of whom have been with the company for over 30 years.
We will keep you informed of any relevant updates.
