Ericsson recently announced the application of the salary increase for this year 2025. For this reason, we attach the updated calculator so that you can see how your salary will be after the “raise”.
The collective bargaining agreement that the majority unions agree with the employers allows companies to absorb up to 75% of the increase. This is the problem faced by the staff at Ericsson, the company makes use of this clause, so that the increase in the collective agreement is reduced to a few tenths for most of the staff, that is, it affects those of us who have an absorbable supplement in our paycheck (which is where the company deducts that 75% of the increase).
The company is hiding behind the collective bargaining agreement to make the absorption, but there is no obligation to do so. Knowing that the economic data have been favorable and there have been savings due to the closure of offices in Spain and teleworking, the company could have chosen not to apply any absorption; in this way, at least, it would help so many workers who have not had a salary increase in recent years.
In the context of inflation in which we live with the rise of the CPI, increases in taxes and contribution bases, the non-updating of restaurant vouchers and, where we suspect, the ASR does not reach many working people nor, when it arrives, does it cover the CPI, means that every year we are losing purchasing power in an alarming way.
We therefore urge the company to sit down and negotiate a wage increase in line with the economic situation and that most companies in the sector have done.
